I was trying an App Inventor Mysql tutorial online and I am using mysql in local machine. The base URL I am using is "http://127.0.0.1/testApp/testmysql.php?FirstName". When I am testing in AI Companion returns an error "Error 1101: unable to get a response with the specified URL

My question is can I connect mysql in local machine?

Not that I know of.
It usually runs on a php server on the web.
You might want to consider SQLite which is installed on Android devices instead.

instead of using localhost try using the local ip address of your computer, this usually starts with 192.168.x.x
