How do I make things visible and invisible?

I have created an image sprite and I want to make a set of buttons appear  when they are pressed. I have tried using the set visible command and then added a .visible command at the end of that but this does not work. I do not understand what I have done wrong.

You should use "true" as argument to set visible, from the logic blocks:

If that does not solve your problem, post a screenshot of your blocks.
