I am unable to find the block named "make text ". It supposed to be in the 'text' on the TEXT blocks. Is this an issue to report ? kindly please check this issue and solve this as soon as possible . It will be helpful to the creators. Thank you .

As far as i know, there is no "make text" block in AppInventor AI2 - there is a "make a list" and a "make color"

It could be your are following a tutorial or guide and the developer has created this block as a variable or procedure ?

Or you are using a variant of AppInventor that has this block (e.g. kodular / thunkable / appBuIlder )

I am unable to find the block named "make text ".

Press the apostrophe (') key on your keyboard in the Blocks Editor, then type what you want in the text block, then press Enter.

Also look at the text JOIN block to combine pieces together.

Also, ask for your money back, some one sold you an App Inventor 1 book.

Here are some up to date app inventor 2 Projects

Here are some resources to help you learn to use the AI2 tools  A very good way to learn App Inventor is to read the free Inventor's Manual here in the AI2 free online eBook   http://www.appinventor.org/book2 ... the links are at the bottom of the Web page.  The book 'teaches' users how to program with AI2 blocks.

There is a free programming course here http://www.appinventor.org/content/CourseInABox/Intro  and the aia files for the projects in the book are here:  http://www.appinventor.org/bookFiles

How to do a lot of basic things with App Inventor are described here:  http://www.appinventor.org/content/howDoYou/eventHandling  .

Just try some blocks and have fun using up to date App Inventor documentation.

Merry Christmas,
Steve
