Hi - since the last AI update, none of my apps will install on my phone anymore.

I can download the apk file, and get to the install screen, but I get no response when I press the "install" button.

At first I thought maybe it was a problem with my phone, but I can't think of any significant changes there, and it occurred to me the problems started right after the recent AI update.

Is this a known issue or just me?

Thanks,
Bruno

ps. I can run the app remotely using AI Companion and it seems to work fine.  Not sure if that's helpful.

That's a pretty strange issue, I never encountered it nor heard of other people with it. Try maybe uninstalling a previous version that you have on your device. You could also try packaging the app with AppToMarket and then try to install the appname_new.apk file generated after compiling.

Maybe Jos can help you out better,

Markus

Do you have the security in your phone turned off?  Ir's usually under the Network settings on the device, and specifically, it's regarding installation from unknown sources.  If that's not turned off, you can't install an APK directly.

The problem turned out to be with my phone -- I'm still not sure if it was related to the upgrade. A normal uninstall didn't help, but when I manually deleted the appinventor folder after uninstalling, that solved the problem.

Thanks Enis/Markus for your advice, which put me on the right track.
