Hi, everyone.  I  hope someone here can  help me.  I  am trying to set up the AI2 with  my  Dell Laptop and my Acer Chromebook.

Neither seems to work.  I switched to  my Dell Laptop (Windows 10 Home; Starbucks WiFi network) but still not able to get it to work.
I  am trying to get the AI Connector to connect my Android phone, but it seems like its producing an error every time.

If anyone has had this problem & has any suggestions, pls advise.

Thanks, Cal

Hi Cal,

Attempting to connect at Starbucks?  That probably will not work.  Public places like libraries, hospitals and caffeine shops block the router ports on their servers that App Inventor needs to communicate with Companion as a security issue.

This bit of advice explains part of the difficulty

Starbucks is probably denying access to port 8001   described in that link.
To use App Inventor using WIFI, both the PC and the device have to be on the same WIFI IP.

Regards,
Steve
