I was looking arround, but I didn't found another topic answering for my question.

I downloaded the source code (http://appinventor.mit.edu/appinventor-sources/) and extracted the files, but there are a lot of folders and files and I don't know how to set it.

An help will be apreciated.

Thanks for your kick answer (even when I took a lot of time for answering you back).

Following what you said, I was trying to install both of the offline servers you said, but I couldn't, so, searching how to do it I found a YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KITcCSiFqC4) where they explain how to install the Ai2 Starter (I dont even know if is another name for one of the option you give or if is another product). Well the video worked. I have App Inventor running offline.

The matter is that when I try to import .aia file of my App created on http://ai2.appinventor.mit.edu/ I got an error because the version on the website is newer and when I import it on the older version (the offline one) it does not work OK.

The Question: Do you know how to update the offline version or another way to make my App work on the offline version?

Kenny... You can only update your offline version by downloading the newest offline version from whichever vendor you used.  However, the vendor's AI and the current AI may not be the same.  You would have to contact the makers of whatever version you're using.  The only entity that can update their offline version is the offline vendor.

@Kenny, Are you trying to extend capabilities or simply be able to run offline?

Thanx @Enis.

@M. Hossein Amerkashi: I just want to be able to run the project in my own enviroment. It does'nt matter if is offline of if is in my own website (best option).

@Kenny, Then take the files from HERE
<https://sourceforge.net/projects/ailivecomplete/files/> and run on your
own box.

Thanks @Amerkashi,

After running the cmd files, what should I do? I tried tyoing 'localhos:8888' in my web browser, and it ran Ai2 , but when I import the App created in ai2.appinventor.mit.edu it says that 'the app was created in a newer version and they might be compatibility issues', and if I continue importing the file, when I try to build the .apk file it shows an error and stop working.

Maybe... I'm thinking on paying (not a lot of money, more a donation for the help than a real payment) for asistance for someone to help me to have the current Ai2 version on a web hosting/doimain...
