I got some at
http://eric.clst.org/tech/usgeojson/but counter-intuitively, I had to use the 20m files to fit
into an AI2 upload.
The 20m is not a megabyte measure, but a feature size measure,
the coarser the feature, the smaller the file.
Even then, it was hefty.
I was unable to use the full file because the AI2 feature list
blocks did not have general purpose JSON data extraction
tags to match the US census data.
The MIT geojson files were jiggered to match the tutorial,
and also had an invisible BOM (Byte Order Marker) removed from the front of the file.
This is still a work in progress, from what I hear.
