Hi,

I'm a teacher at a high school and want to try out app inventor with my students. i can only use the emulator and i can't install anything on the computers but i have ubuntu 14.04 on liveboot usb stick. i'm trying to start aiStarter as descried on the setup page with the /usr/google/appinventor/commands-for-Appinventor/aiStarter & nothing happens or it says command not found. can someone please help me get this running? i can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

Try here    https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/mitappinventortest/unbuntu     .   I suspect you have 64 bit Unbuntu and need the files for 32 bit ...I think this thread discusses that    https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/mitappinventortest/unbuntu/mitappinventortest/u_-3NUALxms/LkOfScKh-F4J  .    Of course this could be something else?  

Since you have LINUX on a stick, it is probable that something cannot find the appropriate paths Victor.    I know that with Windows version of the installer, the emulator must be installed to the C or default drive..something like that could be an issue.
