share an image that is in the app?

I would like to add images to my app, but have a button below each one that let's the user "share" the image with either e-mail, facebook, text message etc. I know there's a "share" component, but I can't seem to get it working.

you only can share images stored on the sd card, but not images stored as assets inside the app

Any possible work around? A way of saving the images to the SD card and then sharing the images? Or maybe taking a screenshot and then sharing from the SD card?

If not, what about hosting the images on an .html web page with my own share buttons. Can I put a web browser window in my app with AI2?

basically the function of my app will have infographics in it, but the user will want to send it to people some how. They are kind of likes guides, but in .jpeg form.The user of the app is the manager, and will need to send the images via the app to the workers of the company that show them how to do certain things.

The only way would be to open the pics in your app and put each into a canvas, then save them to the sd card...

Would it be possible... some how... instead, as a work around; that when the user clicks a button below the picture, it e-mails or texts a link to the person they are sharing the photo with, like a link to a website that I am hosting the image on. So it wouldn't actually send the picture as an attachment, just a text link to where the picture can be found online?
