Companion app detected as virus?

So, I downloaded the AI2 companion app to my phone yesterday. I hadn't linked it to my computer yet, everything seemed fine when I opened it. The next day, when I turn on my phone, I get a notification from my built-in antivirus that AI2 has the Evo-gen virus, and tells me to uninstall it. I check Google Play Protect, and it says the app is fine. I even reinstalled it from the play store to find the same problem. Any ideas what to do? Any help would be appreciated.
