emulator.exe not found; status 128

Keep getting the same error.

ERROR: The process "emulator.exe" not found.

Problem stopping emulator : status 128

Another thing I have noticed is that when i click the Connect button in the browser, it will start spewing out lines of text in aiStarter. This is normal. However, in the browser, it keeps saying that it is verifying that the Companion is starting, waiting 10 seconds each time. This goes on for about 2 minutes until it stops, and gives me the error message above. What do I need to do?

Most of the emulator connection problems we have seen are a result of not having the most current version of the App Inventor setup software, or that software having been incompletely installed. 

Still, there can be many other issues that could cause the connection to the emulator to fail.  Please read and follow the document below on connection issues:
