¿Can i connect excel information to MIT app inventor?

So I am currently living in Mexico and doing my social service and i have to do a supplier directory so for example in the search they type in the name of the company and when they click the search button they should receive al the company information but the information is in a excel file so how would i access the information?

Probably best to upload the excel file to your google account and use google sheets:

Hi Alexia

Outside of the Microsoft Windows environment what you wish to achieve is very difficult, not least because the file structure of Excel has been changed a few times, so you always need to know the exact version. However, depending on security requirements, the Excel spreadsheet can be exported as a CSV file, which App Inventor can work with, providing the file size is not too big.

There is an extension for reading from Excel (XLS) files
