MIT has not supported the services server for almost a year.   No one can use App Inventor 2 to create apps that run in the background.  The code there does not work with the current Companion.   You can build and app that will not go to sleep  by using a StayAwake routine to keep your app running continuously.  Search for StayAwake in the Forum to see example code.

How can you make an app to run in the background?  Code using the professional Android Studio; it has the capability Pedro.

Regards,
Steve

Help me? I have the same problem. And it is not true that nobody did it to walk the app to me with a service and notification works for me. The app is installed by approximately 200 people and now I need to make a modification.

@ Mariano .... users were informed the server should not be used for producing apps for production as the Server is / was   EXPERIMENTAL .  At present, no one can make modifications to their existing apps using the current Companion and the server.  What you got is what you got.  Sorry.

Someone from MIT may clarify this soon.

You might be able to work with an old Companion  No idea if that will work.   Let us know.
