Is it possible to work with app inventor without having a google account?

The problem is, I'll use app inventor 2 with USB-cable connection to the students devices.
But the problem is that many of the students are between 11 and 12 years old. A google account is only possible for people from 13 and above.
So, what could I do?

Ask all parents to be allowed to create an account with wrong age? I think this should'nt be the right way.

You may want to consider using code.appinventor.mit.edu, which allows you to use App Inventor without an account. Your students will receive a four word code that they can use to retrieve projects and migrate to a Google account once they have one.

Perfect, thank you very much.
This is a really userfriendly solution and my students will be happy.

I advise handing out cheap thumb drives, so the
students can take .aia exports at the end of each session.

Or have them export to a shared file system,
with a good directory and file name convention.
