I am trying to make a messaging app in app inventor. However, when I am trying to type a message (the textbox is in the bottom of the screen) the keyboard covers it and I cannot see what I am typing. Is there any way to make the textbox or all the content of the screen move up when the keyboard opens up?

Thank you so much for your help

Hi

One solution of this problem is to hide those UI-items which are top of this textbox and when typing is done show them again.

So, when textbox is activated => hide all other (set visibility to false), and after textbox editing is done => show those again (set visibility to true).

Another solution could be to set the scrollable attribute to true on Screen1

Here is an aia showing example of eero's solution. Had to use two textboxes (one only 1 x 1 pixel in size) in order to be able to shift the focus, and a button to shift focus and close the keyboard. Bit long winded but does the job.
