the time on the ipad thing stays the same and its always charging

i hate that the time stays the same and why is it always at 9:48 its such a random time for it to be set to

Are you are referring to the display image of the Designer screen in App Inventor

What you see  on the screen is the way the Designer provides a pallet for developers to move components where they want them..  It is a 'place holder' in the Designer that affects nothing.. When you run your app on a device, the correct time will appear. When you build your app the correct time will display in your app.
