Hi just wondering if there is a way to make a vertical slider or maybe a joystick type button, My objective is to try use this to control a bluetooth arduino robot. Thanks.

have a look at http://www.martyncurrey.com/arduinobtcontrol/. This is a basic Arduino controller that uses sliders created from canvas and sprites. It's not very pretty but you should be able to convert to vertical quite easily. The aia file is available for download at the link above.

See  attached for a vertical canvas and ball that can scroll a label
like a slider.

Awesome thanks guys for the quick response. I am truly impressed I will mill over each one over the next few days and see which i can get to work for me. Once again I and really glad to see so many people willing to help a newbie.... best part of my week.
