I am getting error 507, while connecting my bluetooth to other devices, I tried everything posted in forums like disabling secure connection but with no success so can anyone help me out because am in middle of project and can't progress without getting rid of it.
Admin please ask to devs also to check out error because it's annoying many of us.

Error 507: Unable to connect. Is the device turned on?" shows up while trying to connect.    One of the main theads discussing bluetooth connectivity is Taifun's tutorial here: http://puravidaapps.com/btchat.php    However,  Taifun also states   Error 507: Unable to connect. Is the device turned on?" shows up while trying to connect.(sometimes?)

The problem here is this a coding timing issues, an AI2 bug or a bluetooth issue (there a several flavors of bluetooth and getting or not getting the error may depend on the version of bluetooth.

What does your code look like?   Would you be able to share it with one of the technical people at MIT?    If this is a bug, the technical staff need more information than  "I am getting error 507 whicle connecting my bluetooth to other devices."    What other devices?   When does this fail?  Sometimes?   All the time?

The MIT technical staff DO read the posts, but for them to consider this an AI2 issue, users need to provide them with the type of information that would allow them to reproduce the issue.

Regards,
Steve

Ankit,

Last time I was working on an AI2 project with bluetooth, I found that certain phones just didn't work, but others did. I couldn't determine if the problem correlated with Android version  (all of the devices that exhibited that error were Android 4.x) or a bluetooth chipset issue, but after trying 3 or 4 devices (with no change to my AI2 code) found a phone (in my case, an original Samsung Galaxy) that works fine.

So, if possible, perhaps try a different phone?

Hey Steve,
Here is the basic block that you asked for, hope you'll get idea .

I have tried on multiple devices and every time it shows up.
But all phones I used to test were operating on android 4.x
I don't have old phones so solution for 4.x devices itself would be appreciated.
G'Day Steve.

Hey Mike,
I only have 4.x android devices so I can't test it on any other device.
So we have to get to devs team involved to check the error because most of developers like us are probably having updated android devices.
I have searched and only solution stated in threads is to uncheck secure connection but even it didn't work.
So try to search for permanent solution .
And one more thing, have you tried connecting android devices or modules like HC-05 also..?
