Here is what the Forum discussions know about using NFC
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/mitappinventortest/nfc%7Csort:date Perhaps there is something useful in the topics? It appears you did not READ the links in Taifun's post. Advice is there. If some tags provide a response and others do not, there is a reason. Either improper coding or possibly a NFC tag that is using a special format?
You stand a better chance of getting advice if you post an image of the pertinent Blocks in your app so we can 'see' what you are trying to do.
When you get the window with no information, have you attempted to see what is returned in your Blocks using DoIt. Do you know what DoIt does?
Here are some resources to help you learn to use the AI2 tools A very good way to learn App Inventor is to read the free Inventor's Manual here in the AI2 free online eBook
http://www.appinventor.org/book2 ... the links are at the bottom of the Web page. The book 'teaches' users how to program with AI2 blocks.
ALSO Note:
NearField
Non-visible component to provide NFC capabilities. For now this component supports the reading and writing of text tags only (if supported by the device)
In order to read and write text tags, the component must have its ReadMode
property set to True or False respectively.
Note: This component will only work on Screen1 of any App Inventor app.
