How to upload and view a PDF file in App inventor Extensions?

Hey, all App Inventor experts!

I just can't get it work (see attached picture). Am I on the right path? Is there a easy solution to this?

an external app can't access files in the assets of your App Inventor app

you have to copy the pdf file first to sd card and then read from there

btw. the Exists block will provide true or false, which will not help very much as DataUri...
