Anyone know how to detect a notification

I was wondering if there is any way to create a block or something that is able to detect notifications on my Android device and send some sort of signal. I've searched all over the internet but have had no luck.

What kind of notifications you want to detect? And what do you want to do with them?

By the sound of it, what you want is not possible with App Inventor.
