Can i upload an image to Firebase storage using API and web component?

I start to use Firebase component using my own Firebase account, now i want to store some image in the storage bicket gs://... and then get their ubication in http://firebase.googlesapi.com/...
i saw taifun example with dropbox api. can i do the same with firebase?
