I accidentally downloaded the emulator a few times and it doesn't want to work I tried hard reseting it and it says this:
Launch the aiStarter program on your computer and then try again. Need Help?

I went into the file and try to reboot it:

electronic-art-74:~ artlabuser$ /Applications/AppInventor/commands-for-Appinventor/aiStarter ; exit;
Segmentation fault: 11
logout

[Process completed]

I tried Safari, Google Chrome and Fire Fox, nothing works what do I do to get the emulator working?
I hope someone will be able to assist me...
Thanks,
Tini

Here are the instructions   http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/setup-emulator.html , be aware there you also need to use the Mac part of the instructions.
which is here:  http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/mac.html   .   Did you get the messages that the installer properly installed as shown on the screens in the second document?

Sorry, I am not a Mac person...Do you have version 2.3 of the set up tools (  https://groups.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/mitappinventortest/XT8zQdR0NIo  ).

That might help.   Also the Troubleshooting page here  http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/support/troubleshooting.html   might help.     You may have to uninstall the setup installer and re-install.

You are running this on a school network.  It is very possible the network is blocking the install.   You may have to get the help of the school IT people to install this.  If you are in a class using AI2, this should already have been done.   If you are an instructor trying to set up App Inventor without the help of your IT department, the firewall might be blocking ports 8001   and 8004 .  App Inventor needs to use those ports.

Steve
