MIT AI2 Companion version 2.46 on Nexus 7 tablet running Android version 6.0.1

Seven identical tablets all experiencing the same problem.  From AI2 we select Connect then AI Companion.  QR code appears on screen. Pressing "scan QR code" on companion app reads code (the 6 character code appears in the text box.  QR code disappears from AI2.  The app never loads on the tablet.  Tried to connect by manually entering  code into companion app. with same result.

Hi,
Does this happen with all devices on a particular network? Do they connect on a different network?

I also have a problem downloading my project to my device.  It reaches 92% and then stops. See screen shot.
Some advice would be great!

I am having the exact same problem with my students trying to connect android phones to the AppInventor.  We often get the same message as what is in the screen shot above.  Works on some kids' computers and not on others.  The phone and the computers are on the same network.  I don't know much about hardware...but could this be the cause of  my students' firewall settings? Most of them have apple computers.  All works fine on my phone and laptop (PC).

@ Martha .... is this in a classroom environment and on a school WIFI network?  Depending on how many students, this might be an issue of insufficient bandwidth of the network.  Some students get lucky...others get shut out perhaps.  Check with your IT person.

@ Martha/Ellen/9okil    If the devices have been used for App Inventor programming for a while, the problem might be ameliorated by deleting the          folder on the Android phone/tablet find the AppInventor folder , delete the contents of the  assets   folder.   I have been told that for some, this will 'cure' the problem of getting stuck downloading.  Try it and let us know if it works for you.   The idea is that the device memory gets cluttered with unused files.  App Inventor does NOT need these files.  They will be replaced with the required data that your app has in its Media (Resources).

Steve

I have the exact same problem with AI 2.46.  Around 2 or 3 minutes after the QR read, I get this message in my phone:

This same config was woking flawlessly a few days ago.

Hope it´s useful.

Saludos!

Error 1103 is related to a bad or intermitent Internet connection, right? I will reset all my devices (Wifi AP, etc) and see how it goes.
