A booking app connecting to another booking system?

I need to ask this from you...

Is there a way to make an app that would connect with a separate booking system?

Here in Finland it's really cheap to book these indoor sports halls.
People can play badminton, indoor soccer, volleyball, floorball and all other kinds of sports there.

It's just that the great public doesn't know that these are available to them.

And I was thinking that if I could make an app that would be a booking app and it would look through the systems of different municipal booking systems?

I have been talking about it with my nephew and he said it would involve a lot of work from far bigger professional programmers than me.
Oh, wait... I'm not a programmer, I've just been making a few apps here.

Anyway, I'm keen on creating more sports activities to people here in Finland.
And it sounds like a beginning of a business idea...
