My students are working on Activity 1.7, the Germ Fighter Game. Even though students are downloading the same program to start with, the sprites and their movement are having a variety of problems. The germ Sprite changed sizes in one, while the sprites changed places in another. I personnaly confirmed that the code has not been changed.
For several teams, the game runs correctly the first time through, but will not run a second time and the sprites don't return to reset positions.
We did not have these issues last year, so I know that the .aia code works.
Is there a glitch in an update? Is there something to be done on your end?

Is there a correction to be made to the code that we are missing?
Another teacher reported that he is having issues with Activity 1.8, Build a Body, as well.
Thank you,

PLTW charges schools to use their curriculum.  If one is not a participant (virtually all Forum posters) of this program; we do not have access to the curriculum or
the aia's.    We would like to help but we really do not know what your are referencing Ellen.

You might contact PLTW for specific help.  We do not know what Activity 1.7 or 1.8 entail.    You know the code works?  There have been changes ... when was the last time you successfully built a Project Ellen?   Here is a summary of changes to App Inventor 2  https://appinventor.mit.edu/ai2/ReleaseNotes . The issues might be related to changes required in App Inventor to be compliant with changes Google made and had to be addressed by how the code works

Realize please that issues in a classroom environment may also be due to changes in your network by your IT people.  Depending on the app you run, the problem might be related to your school network.

Differences in behavior on different students devices might be because their device screens are different dimensions assuming not all students use the same model/brand Android.

Without a specific aia example (does PLTW allow sharing?) , no one can test any of this.  Sorry.  Provide something that can be tested and someone on the Forum might be able to provide specific advice.

Regards,
Steve
