Unexpected NFC read behaviour

I wanted to test out NFC and so created a simple read function and downloaded the APK onto my phone.

I had the app closed and yet when I placed my phone over an NFC tag it opened up the app.

I was not expecting this behaviour? I checked and found that it only applies to text.

Its kinda nice behaviour though but may not always be ideal in all use cases. 

So I think I better remove the read mode by default and only have this enabled when the app screen is opened.
