I have three small projects that are a couple years old
and I can't access any of them.  I get the error
"Server error: could not upload project. Please try again later!"
when I click on the projects.

I never saved the .aia files to my computer because I
thought I'd be able to access them in AI2 but I can't.
If I can't get access to these projects (one in particular)
I'll have to recreate them from scratch.

I have the .apk files on my local computer.  Is there a
way to create an .aia file from an .apk file?  How can
I find out what the cause of the error message is.

Did not save an aia; that limits what you can do.  You will have to find the errors and fix them.

You said several years old..AI2 was born in lat 2013.  Are these AI Classic   apps you are trying to access or are these Projects actually on your list of AI2 Projects?  If these are AI projects, they need to be converted to ai2 formati ... use the ai to ai2 converter               .   Not all projects are convertable.

Are you testing these Projects on the device using WIFI or on the emulator?  The current version of Companion is 2.36 .  Is 2.36 what you are using?   The problem might be as simple as updating Companion.

Instead of Firefox, you might try using Chrome..sometimes switching browsers performs miracles...sometimes.

Sorry, you cannot create an aia from an apk.

Just so we understand, you are selecting a Project and it is not showing in the Designer/Block pages?    Is that the issue or are the Projects loading but you cannot compile them?  If you can load, solving the problem may be in this large document  https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/mitappinventortest/fLiMEfPh09Q/1Ia0AaQEXogJ  .   Yes, there are lots of things that can be inhibiting loading your file.

Steve

They are AI2.

You can't connect anything until you
have a project open so WiFi/emulator
is a moot point because I can't open
a project.
(Error message "You must first create or select a project before connecting!")

Same error using Chrome.

I never gett o Desinger/Block pages.
There are three projects are listed on
the My Projects page.  When I click
any one of them I get the Server error.
When I check one of them and select
either Save Project As or Export Selected
Project from the Projects drop-down
nothing happens.

Please post the project names, and the email address with which you access them, and we'll try to see what's up.

The MIT person that has to evaluate the project loading issue has been notified.  It may take a while..perhaps several days.  Be patient.   Realize, depending on what the issue is that is preventing projects to appear/load in your AI account, the files, if gone, might not be recoverable.  This is why we urge users to make backup aia source files of their Projects on their computers;.

Check this thread frequently over the next several days for progress...no post means no progress.

Steve
