Hi friends!

I have some image files in my sdcard and I want to select one  of them with an ImagePicker and save it in a new folder (/my_images)

I could do it with App Inventor expansion copy files.
I could put the image in a Canvas and Save it too but, could I do it with a different way?

I only want copy a file in another folder. It should be easy! :-/

I would appreciate any idea.

Thanks in advance

to copy files, you can use my file extension and the Copy method

The App Inventor Extensions are currently in testing. See the announcement for more information about how to use an App Inventor Extension.

Hello Taifun and thank you for your fast answer :-)

Extension...yes, I have seen that possibility but I would have to migrate my app and working with canvas...ooooh noooo!, the aspect ratio, noooo! hahaha

Could I do it with a different way, like I show you in this image?

What´s wrong? :-/

Thanks

Yes Taifun!

It seems I resolve a problem but I find another :D

I obtained the aia file, I went to App Inventor Extensions, I imported the aia and your extension copy files.

But when I used the companion it didn´t work

There isn´t another way for copying files in App Inventor traditional :-/

Thanks

after importing an extension, you have to restart the companion app

Yes, I did it

There must be something wrong.

The strange thing is that the app goes right with AI2 classic.

I don´t know

Does AI2 Extensions work wrong with apps size above a value?

make sure to use the extension test server and the corresponding companion app
also after importing an extension, restart the companion app

But when I used the companion it didn´t work
you might want to explain, what exactly happens

I could finally connect to MIT AI2 Companion with AI2 Extensions.
A few days ago when I tried to connect the message "Failed to connect to the MIT AI2 Companion, try again" was displayed one and another time.

Well, but... when I try to upload my project in Google Play it shows the following window:

I will look for a solution, It seems not complicated :-).

Thanks at all for your help

If you have your project in AI2 and migrate to AI2 Extensions don´t forget  export and import keystore for uploading Google Play. ;-)
