How to install App inventor on a windows 8 PC

i have problems to install App inventor on my Lenovo E531.

 
I can download the software but I can not install app inventor.

What is the problem.

Maybe 32 bits?

Did you follow the instructions here Marcel   http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/setup.html  ?

If you have an Android phone or Tablet, there is nothing to install, just go here and use the orange Create button.  http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/  , and follow the instructions to use WIFI  You will need to have a Google mail account to actually program  .  There is nothing to install if you use WIFI.

If you do not have an actual Android device, you can use the emulator..  http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/setup-emulator.html .   In this case, you need to install the emulator software for Windows ..

32 bits work very good.    What browser are you using?    You cannot use Explorer with App Inventor, however, both Chrome and FireFox browsers work well.

Thank you for helping me.

It is an 64 bits Windows 8.1 Pro

I used it on school. And the studentes use the emulator.

First i test it on my own PC.

But i can download it but installatie in on the PC

I use chrome as browser

I installed on 8.1 64 bits with no problem (since then I loaded Window10 preview which works good too)

I suggest that you right click on the installer file, that will allow you to install the emulator as Administrator.   Does that work?
