Greetings,
I have been teaching with App Inventor since before it was made public and I have run into one common issue when it comes to using it with students. This issue is internet connectivity, or the lack thereof. Internet access is still a challenge for some, so needing it (and a gmail acct) in order to use App Inventor has provided barriers for many.
This came up again after speaking with representatives from many different programs at the Maker Faire in DC this past weekend. One group specifically asked if there were plans to make an offline version of app inventor (like a downloadable offline version of scratch). This is a great idea.
Are there plans for an offline version of app inventor?
Your thoughts?
Thanks.

Hello Leshell,
Thanks for bringing up this point. Yes, this is a much needed resource for students without access (especially in Florida where we are located). We use App Inventor to teach a lot of our classes. I'm also curious about whether the Emulator can be accessed offline after the students have created their projects.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Thank you Hossein. I was hoping you would make a new version.
