Hi,

I am getting the" Error 1101 Unable to get a response with the specified URL". My app has a number of buttons just sending a URL request to an address with a port and command i.e address:8070/?pin=ON1. If I try this via a browser entering the URL i get a response with buttons and some text. It works like this on the local 192.168 network and via IP forwarding to a URL externally. However if I use the app I made each button comes back with the 1101 error.

I see a number of people that have had the issue and a report it was fixed in a later release but for me using nb146k but still the same issue any ideas what could be causing it.

Thanks

 Gordon

It would really help if you provided a screenshot of your relevant blocks, so we can see what you are trying to do, and where the problem may be.

I have also tried the local 192.168 address still the same error. Simple blocks attached. As I said this all works apart from the error that is returned suggesting it isn't.

I did notice that I get a splash screen saying "Welcome to the nb146j Release!" but  the about says nb146k. but

it seems to be, MIT forgot to update the splash message...
I don't know why that error occurs, but you can ignore that error in Screen.ErrorOccurred event

what prevents you from reading the response in the Web.GotText event and ignoring the error in the Screen.ErrorOccurred event?

Web.GotText does not give me anything back. Can you check I have done this correctly.

I created for buttons with text that should shown the responses

I got rid of the error with the Screen.ErrorOccurred event BTW

Thanks

it seems to be, there was a misunderstanding

if you do not get a response, then this
just sending a URL request to an address with a port and command i.e address:8070/?pin=ON1.
might not be possible with App Inventor
