Bluetooth Scan Extension

Hi,

As you all know, the current method for connecting to a Bluetooth device using MIT app is through pairing the two devices first and then using Bluetooth Client to display paired devices inside the app.

I was wondering if anyone created  Bluetooth Scan Extension where I can scan the devices nearby inside the app.

If not, could anyone guide me on how to create an extension like this considering that I have no experience with Java?

I understand that Java is essential so I am willing to put the hard work in order to achieve this.

Hi Taifun,

I am trying to build appinventor locally on windows 7 using the following document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Xc9yt02x3BRoq5m1PJHBr81OOv69rEBy8LVG_84j9jc/pub#h.5p32kqx16c2d

I've downloaded all the software listed in section 3 and proceeded building the app inventor by cloning a git repository by running the following git command from a shell: git clone https://github.com/mit-cml/appinventor-sources.git

I keep getting the following error: failed to connect to github 443 error

I'm not at all experienced in this field so I do not understand any of the solutions, could you please try and help me out? 

I'm working in a company so I can't get the proxy like they mentioned or the firewall might be blocking it.
