I'm struggeling to run the emulator, one of my problem was random crash when start aiStarter.exe (emulator.exe error, see below)

I finally solved that by:

  1. disabling UAC (Windows 7 User Account Control Setting) (put it in "never notify").
  2. uninstal aiStarter.exe (run the install .exe to unistall it)
  3. reboot
  4. install aiStarter.exe
  5. reboot

that might be useful for others.

Is this the issue you described here  https://groups.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/mitappinventortest/7rUYPP0s7Dk   ?

Thanks for posting your solution.    I think the issue is you may not have initially installed the emulator as Admin  .    Is that possible?

Anyway, appreciate your post.

Regards,
Steve
