Release notes:
a release of MIT App Inventor , May 25, 2019, to fix a handful of bugs identified in release nb176.
This release will be version nb177 and will include a companion update to 2.53. The list of changes includes:
- Improved connection negotiation performance
- Improved downloading of compiled apps when scanning the QR code with the companion installed from the Google Play Store
- Fixed a bug that caused compiled apps to crash if using Switch and Classic theme.
- Fixed a bug where untranslated strings show up in German rather than English
- Fixed a regression in the AnchorHorizontal and AnchorVertical properties of Marker
- Fixed an issue where Sharing would not share unrecognized file types
- Fixed an issue where Polygon components loaded at runtime would not appear on a Map
- Fixed an issue where the warning/error stepper would end up going negative
- Fixed an issue where event parameters were not being correctly translated when switching languages
- Fixed an issue where Image would not ask permission to read storage if the permission weren't granted
- Made Marker, LineString, and Polygon populate their Title property using its Name if no title is present when importing using a FeatureCollection
- Added an Update Companion menu item to manually update the emulator
- Added the ability to export blocks via the right click menu. Blocks exported using this method can be imported by dragging and dropping the file into the blocks workspace. (ABG - PNG output only?)
