Subject: IESA's "Semiconductor Nation - Campus Connect" Platform

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings from India Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA). IESA is the premier industry body representing India’s Electronics & Semiconductor eco-system representing large MNCs, Indian Product and Services companies, MSME’s startups and academia. It has a member base of 300+ companies and this eco-system is at the heart of USD 250 Billion Electronics market and USD 100 Billion of domestic production of Electronics.

Earlier in the year at Semicon India 2022, the Hon. Prime Minister shared his vision for India to be “Atma-Nirbhar” in Electronics and Semiconductor sectors with unveiling of incentives to promote setting-up of chip manufacturing eco-system creating massive employment opportunities for students of ECE/CE/CS/Electronics disciplines.

With spirit of service to nation and objective of supporting students for industry readiness towards existing and emerging opportunities, IESA takes pleasure in launching the “Semiconductor Nation – Campus Connect” platform (on this 75th anniversary of India's Independence); for a pro-active industry outreach to academia across the nation enabling tight cross-connect between its 300+ industry members and 2000+ technical institutes. Our aim is to ensure that no aspiring student gets left behind towards preparing self for a promising industry career in Semiconductor & Electronics sectors.

Here we request your support to spread awareness about this zero-cost platform accessible to faculty and students of your esteemed institution as well as any affiliated colleges and/or institutes with following two actions on your part –

1.    Posting of attached flyer in your ECE, CSE, Electronics departments’ notice boards

2.   Forwarding of attached flyer to emails of faculty and students of UG/PG with major in ECE, CSE and Electronics of yours as well as any affiliated institute/college

3.   Encouraging Faculty and Students of ECE, CSE and Electronics departments to follow on LinkedIn #SemiconductorNationCampusConnect for latest updates of this initiative

Thank you for your support as we together - industry + academia - inspire, motivate and support our students to opt for career in ESDM sector and contribute towards nation-building as India prepares to transform itself from being a chip-taker to Chip Maker for the world and emerge as a Semiconductor Nation over coming decade!

With Warm regards

Vivek Tyagi

Chairman, IESA
