Good Evening!

I'm trying to setup a Mister server on my PC running Windows 8.1 using OBS (Open Broadcast Software) and am having problems connecting to the server. I have tried several different configurations from http://mistserver.org/wiki/Push_Guide with no luck.

Here is my stream management interface.

Here is my OBS configuration

My password is my stream name "livegame"

Here is what my control window is showing.

I was trying to setup the server using local host for testing purposes to embed it into a website but I ultimately need help configuring both for external stream inputs so outside sources can connect to my mist server.

Can anyone please help me with my configuration for both intranet and internet connections?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Phil,

My apologies for the long wait.

The stream key is actually where your streamname should be if I'm not mistaken. OBS does it a little different, but it makes sense if you think about the url being the way to connect to the server and the streamkey the way to be able to choose which stream you're pushing.

So the url should be: rtmp://localhost/live
with streamkey: livegame

When hosting on anything else than localhost you'd have to adjust the hostname (and port if applicable). I'd recommend using the IP as we've noticed some protocols like HSS (Smooth streaming) might not work correctly with host names.

We're also going to release a Windows version tomorrow at the latest which should have improved stability for Windows builds, so any other issues you might have should be fixed with that.

With kind regards,
