Hai...

Could you guide me how to completely remove the old version of MistServer before installing the Release Candidate version? .

Thanks

Hello,

To completely remove, simply delete all the binaries (all the Mist* files) as well as the config.json file.
Any other files created are temporary files that will be overwritten and won't harm the new install.

It's also save to simply replace the binaries with the RC versions and restart the server.
Everything should be backwards-compatible, though you will need to enable any new protocols, of course.

Hello Ashu,

If you're looking for the file: it's most likely that the config.json file can be found in either the folder where you installed the software or your home folder.
If you're asking what the best spot is to put it, I would suggest /etc/mistserver.conf as a proper location.

Regards,
Jaron
