Hi,
I just saw your annoncement about the 0.2 release.
I just installed it and noticed that your glade dialog for "Check
dependecies" cuts off
pretty every sentence here (screen resolution is 1280x800). I don't
know if that'll hurt
you but I propose to raise from 500 to 530.

PS.: I'm still learning C# and far not as good as you with it but I'd
love to join development.
Of course you know about Diva and I'm wondering what's
different since Diva died because of buggy/non-usable gstreamer (diva
was also a GTK# app)

Actually, the problem is that it should be fixed, should be as flexible as possible to fit nicely longer strings from other languages.

I have fixed this in head. Unfortunately, I could not use your patch since it was far more complex, but thanks a lot to bring this.

If you want to get involved with Mistelix developing a new transition can be a good starting point.

Check http://www.mistelix.org/Extensions#Transitions

And you already have some examples: http://git.gnome.org/cgit/mistelix/tree/extensions/SlideTransitions

This is an easy way to start.

Let me know if you have any question.

Diva was  video editor, Mistelix is a DVD / slideshow creator.

The requirements of Mistelix from GStreamer in terms functionality as far more modest that a video editor.

On top of this, you have programs like PitiVi built on top on GStreamer and working well.

Regards,

Jordi,
