I am using Mist on my MacBook Pro and it is getting started but then just stopping in the middle and not moving.

I can't quit. So do I just force quit?

Nick,

Yeah, force quit is probably your best bet. See if re-running it work better the second time. Also, are you using the latest version (4.2.1)?

If that doesn't help, I'd be curious to learn if there's a particular email that it's getting stuck on. You can also send me the log file, which might help diagnose the problem.

You might also like to know that I've got MIST 5.0 in the works, which will offer huge improvements to the interface while also adding new features. No ETA yet, as I'm only able to work on it in spurts, but I'm hopeful that July will provide many such opportunities =)

Tom,

Tom,
Thanks for your help.

I tried to use it again but it just got stuck.

I am using 4.2.1 version.

Here is a screenshot of where the log file is supposed to be but I couldn't find it.

I am using MacBook Pro.
Can you help me find the Log file?

It should be under that MIST folder there. Is it not?

No, it didn't.

That is why I included the screenshot. It does not include the file there.

Hi Nick,

Sorry for the trouble! Please forgive me if this is an obvious thing to you and I'm simply misunderstanding, but your screenshot doesn't actually show me that. In the Finder, you'll need to click the little arrow next to the MIST folder, which should (theoretically) show the contents of the folder, including the mist.log file. I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like on my Mac.

  Does that help?

Also, you can just send the log file to me rather than to the user list, just in case there's sensitive information in that file.
