Missoula's
Full Moon Drumming has been a rhythm tradition in Missoula for over ten
years. It is a community based gathering of drummers, percussionists,
dancers and spectators who come together once a month to celebrate the
full moon and to create and share common rhythms. Rhythm is a powerful
thing, even more so under a full moon.

People of all ages and
ability levels are welcome to come and join in. Although West African
rhythms predominate, rhythmic traditions and instruments of all kinds
are encouraged.

Missoula's Full Moon Drumming often attracts drummers from such far away places as Butte, Darby, and Hamilton.

In March 2006, Missoula's Full Moon Drum Circle was one of five drum
circles across the nation featured in a New York Times article.
