BCN14 -DATEBOOK ADVISORY
Greenpeace activists are gathering at Levi Strauss & Co.
headquarters in San Francisco this morning to protest the company's use of
chemicals in Mexico to make their clothing products.
Protesters are setting up a "foam river" at Levi's Plaza, located
at 1155 Battery St., and have models in Levi's jeans wading in the river.
Demonstrators said the foam river represents the rivers in Mexico
that are being polluted by factories used by Levi's.
The protest began around 9 a.m. and will continue throughout the
day.
