Subject: Do you know an organization or project that fits this bill?

Greetings Anita,

Hope all is well with you.

There’s an event coming up for a  group that I belong to, and the topic made me think of you – perhaps you know of someone who works for an organization that might want to be one of the presenters for an upcoming meeting. Here’s the dealio:

The event, on December 7 (6-8:30 pm), is for Philly Net Squared, -- a networking group made up of individuals who use the social web for social good. Members include people who work for non-profits, activists, community leaders and people involved with the web.

The event is titled “CrowdSourcing Change.” The panel will feature people from non-profit organizations/projects that want to make better use of social media for purposes such as advocacy, fundraising, engaging constituents, creating community and raising awareness.

The way works is, the person (or persons) gets 15 minutes to explain their project or initiative, its goals and objectives and how they are currently using social media to meet those goals. Then members of our group offer feedback and suggestions on how the organization or project may make even better use of social media.

Because Philly Net Squared has such varied membership, the feedback comes from different perspectives, much of it based on real-life experience. We have already done a panel like this in the past, and it worked out really well.

There is no cost to attend or to present -- we’re simply a group of people who want to help one another learn more about how to leverage social media for social good.

You're involved in social change type things, so maybe you know of an person or organization that might benefit from picking our groups collective brains. If so, please feel free to pass on this email.

There’s a short application for interested parties to fill out at:

Here’s info on the event

And here’s a link to the Philly Net Squared web site.

You or anyone else may feel free to contact me for more info on the event.

Best regards,
Deni Kasrel
