I thought this might interest you who are on the Missioneurs listserv, especially since I know many of you are aware of the work of GoodCompany Ventures.
I am happy to tell you about a partnership the Corzo Center for the Creative Economy at UArts has established with GoodCompany Ventures. As you know, GoodCompany Ventures represents a growing effort, regionally and nationally, to support enterprises with social and creative goals by providing them with the technical and business savvy required to be self-supporting – an effort we’re engaged in too thru Missioneurs.
This summer, at the University of the Arts, we’ll be hosting GCV’s second Social Impact Incubator It will offer training, mentoring, administrative and other pro-bono services to a group of start-ups accepted from a pool of applicants drawn from throughout the region and nation as well as from abroad.
On June 3 (5:30 to 7), you’ll have a chance to hear more about this program as well as to listen to Jay Coen Gilbert, co-founder of B Corp Lab, a leader in the movement to create socially responsible corporations.

Perhaps of particular interest to all of us in Missioneurs, throughout the summer, GoodCompany Ventures and the Corzo Center will also present a Thursday series of free evening panels and speakers discussing the full range of topics that start-ups need to know. I’m attaching the tentative list of topics, but for more information about location, panelists and time, write me at corzo...@uarts.edu. (I will, though, pass along information to the listserv as it is worked out.)
