Hi, Here is the site for the National Fund for Workforce Solutions.
After talking to this group last week in Chicago, I believe we are very we'll position to compete for these funds with Mission Verde and this group is very interested in San Antonio.
The next round RFP is coming out in October with projects starting in January.
1) Please review and let me know what questions you have, so I can get them answered.
2) Please identify what funding organizations we could approach ASAP, especially foundations and private. The grant requires a 4 to 1 match (4 ours/1 NFWS) non-federal. We have a great start with the COSA funds and various other non-federal dollars. It would be great if we could get to $500-600k. We are competing against cities like Atlanta.
Laurence, I can engage our grant writer in this. If perhaps we could team with Sara, that would be great.
I believe this could be the opportunity we need get a national funding mechanism engaged with Mission Verde.
