Increase in airport tax

Just to give some info on the current buzz of the increase in the airport tax, an increase has been approved and will be just over $60. However, 1. It has not been published in the legal Gazette so it is not law yet. 2. It will actually not be implemented before next year. So, if you have plans to travel for Christmas, you should be good. 3. The new tariff will be wrapped into the price of the ticket and you will no longer have to pay it at a separate time as we do now. I spoke with the bank this morning and they have not been informed as to when it will come into effect. 4. This is Honduras, any information that holds true now can change at a moments notice. However, it appears there is no cause for panic if you are traveling for the holidays.
