Good morning. I have a group here right now and traveling Saturday back to the states for about a month, so I apologize in advance for the hit-and-miss contact.
The Landcruiser was purchased in 2010 I think. I bought it from a wealthy Honduran man who had maintained it in the Toyota dealership here in Tegucigalpa. I've purchased several vehicles over the last 7 years in country, and know what not to do. This vehicle is a workhorse, but it's not for pleasure riding. It is to take a load of people and their cargo over bad terrain/roads. It is in good shape with no problems other than the need for balancing / rotation of one set of tires and new tires on the other set of rims. It's an in-line 6 cylinder diesel with manual locking hubs - it's about the same as every other Landcruiser of this make / model. No frills, just reliable and tough. The engine has about 345k km on it and is still strong with very little compression loss. Toyota says it's good for another 150k km at least before needing anything. These vehicles are made to run well into the 500k and above mark. Honestly, the pricing on these should be lower by about 20% but you just can't find any used ones - they are very rare to come across for sale, hence the pricing. But there's nothing else available that does the work that they do.
I have used it in my ministry to the Tolupan tribe these last 4 years, which is very remote. I have needed it to take loads into the mountain and occasionally carry a small group, although we don't have many. This ministry is being taken over by our in-country church partner (native) and I will not be going in nearly as much as before, hence I don't need it.
I have tried to give you the best possible overview without knowing what you intend to do with the vehicle. Let me know if you have specific questions. In the meantime, God bless.
