Missing Link will once again be hosting an aid station at the City Trail Loppet coming up on May 19th. If you aren't running, please come help us out! If you can help at the aid station, please go ahead and sign up at the link below, but also send me a note so that I can make sure that you get placed at our aid station.

What an exciting and event filled winter we had. As we gear up for the spring/summer events season, we first bring you CityTrail Loppet on Sunday, May 19. Our first running race of the season, this event starts at The Trailhead and ends at the iconic Sculpture Garden and we need YOU to make this event all it can be.


As always we wouldn’t be The Loppet without the help and dedication of our incredible volunteers. We appreciate you!


Check out the volunteer opportunities below, sign up and share with your friends and family. Lets make this CityTrail a great one!

  • Course Marshal: Monitor critical locations on the course. Help keep participants safe and cheer them on. HIGHEST NEED

    • This job is great for clubs, teams and groups!

  • Aid Station Support Crew: Set up an aid station for runners with water and electrolyte drink to keep them hydrated! 

    • **Children under 16 must be accompanied by a coach or adult guardian.

  • Finish Crew: Help with the finish line, hand out post race snacks and water, and help pick up the park after the race. Cheer on participants!

  • Packet Pick-Up: Help distribute packets to participants and answer FAQs.

    • Options on Saturday, May 18 at Utepils Brewing (225 Thomas Ave N) or on Sunday, May 19 at The Trailhead

  • Medical Support: Provide medical assistance on the course and start/finish areas. Medical volunteers are approved and scheduled by the Loppet Medical Director. A range of medical training and backgrounds are acceptable and helpful including MD, RN, EMT, AT, Residents and ski/bike patrols. Please answer the medical question during volunteer signup.

  • Photographer: Capture the event through your lens! The goal of the photographer is to get photos of as many participants as possible. You can use any device you may have as we do not have one to provide. After the event, submit pictures to the marketing team for Loppet use.

  • Social Media Support: Share behind the scenes at a Loppet event as Social Media Support! Work with the marketing director to capture content to be shared across Loppet social media platforms.

  • Beer Team: ID Check, beer ticket sales, beer distribution, beer garden monitoring.

    • **Must be 21+ to volunteer for this task

  • Course Tear Down: Hike, run, bike course to collect signage/arrows. Break down the start area. This is an outside job.

  • Loppet Foundation Info Table: Help answer questions about the Foundation and encourage people to become a Loppet Foundation member.

Yes, that'd be awesome! Just sign up on the Loppet website (which is just one signup for all the aid stations) but let me know who all signed up so I can make sure that they all get assigned to our aid station.
