It's less than two months to the Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ Loopet Loppet!
For those of you who haven't been to the Loopet, it's a 12 Hour event on October 19th. Just because it is a 12 hour event does not mean that you have to be running the entire time! Some of the people who do the best at the Loopet don't run a single step, walking is ok and even encouraged. There will be a huge aid station and activities at the Trailhead to keep you going through the day. You can take as much time as you'd like between laps (you could even go home in the middle of the day for a nap if you really wanted), you just have a 12 hour window to go however far you'd like. Not up to running solo, join as a relay team! 12 Hours still seems a bit intimidating? Register for the 6 hour option or for the new (untimed) 5K.
New this year, we are super excited to add a celebration of the Dakota people, land, and traditions along Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ, the Dakota name for Bassett Creek with an Indigenous People's festival featuring Native chefs, running groups, artists, storytellers, and community partners.
