Likewise. I’m volunteering so I can get in, but my wife wants to go too. I’m looking for a ticket for Saturday (I’m volunteering Sunday). Any help would be appreciated. Like so many others we were caught off guard by the ticket thing when they were released a while back.

I have suggested to a number of people to just show up to the venue and talk to people who are getting into see if they have extra tickets. I know that we requested eight tickets and then ended up volunteering so only needed some of them for some of our family members so are bringing in some additional people that we've already reached out to. I'm sure other people are in the same boat.

Thanks, Bonnie. We somehow missed all the messaging about tickets this year from the Loppet. No big deal - probably our own fault - but it was a bummer when we realized that a while back. And we should have searched for extra tickets earlier.

I heard from a source, who shall remain nameless, that the Board had apparently decided that they weren't going to check tickets this weekend, since they were free to begin with. Not sure if having a ticket gets you into special areas or what, but sounds more or less like you can just show up. That's what I'm planning to do, anyway. =) (Your mileage may vary, of course.) 

Also heard that if you bike in to the corral, that the first N people (can't remember how many) will get a free pair of Darn Tough socks. Maybe that was already common knowledge but I'm always late to the party.

Neither here nor there but I also heard from someone whose name I won't mention, but who should be "in the know" that they aren't checking tickets besides VIP type areas.

I think the truth is they don't have a good process for it either way.

I ended up getting that ticket, so we’re good, but here’s proof that they’re checking (from the volunteer communications portal that I’m part of):

Later messages indicate that they are enforcing further.
